ECO-TEMP
mineral oil-free
The new web offset coldset process inks
based on renewable raw materials for newspaper printing machines.
Demands on the visual appearance and quality of daily newspapers are increasing constantly.
The high printing speeds of modern rotary newspaper presses require at the same time
printing inks of the highest possible stability and constant consistency. In order to meet such
requirements, it is imperative to dispose of an ink system which always provides optimum
printing results, even at maximum production speeds. Eco-dynamic printing is a leitmotif of
HUBER-GRUPPE associating environmental thinking still more with printing ink. By developing
our mineral oil-free ECO-TEMP newspaper ink we realized this ambitious goal on the
base of renewable raw materials.
ECO-TEMP web offset newspaper inks of the new generation combine superb printability of
the inks with excellent quality of the printed product through the "HIGHLY IMPROVED TECHNOLOGY"
standard.
In the "HIT" technology, all of the raw material components required in the ink manufacture
are tailor-made to suit the different processing parameters in the production process.
Consequently,
the binders are formulated to ensure finest dispersion and best possible ink wetting
as well as optimum printing characteristics.
ECO-TEMP newspaper inks are available for conventional "overshot" or "undershot" inking
systems.
Special properties of ECO-TEMP process inks
• Stable emulsification characteristics.
(Optimum printing conditions with constant ink/damping solution equilibrium.)
• High color intensity.
• Good coverage of solids with constant high-contrast printing.
• Little rub-off due to total envelopment of all pigment particles by the binder.
• Minimum set-off.
• Little ink penetration (with suitable paper quality).
ECO-TEMP newspaper inks excel in respect of trouble-free printability, also on critical papers. They
can be used on all types of machines with different damping systems with optimum results.
Due to the use of selected raw materials in the formulation, shrinking and swelling of modern roller
and printing blanket elastomers is eliminated. We would be pleased to provide ink samples if
somebody is interested to carry out tests according to DIN 53 521 to determine effects on the
rollers.
Field of application
For newspaper printers putting special emphasis on the use of renewable raw materials.
