REDUFIX^® 8325 Series

Damping solution additive for heatset web offset
to reduce the isopropanol concentration.

REDUFIX-R is intended for use in web offset with alcohol damping systems. The advised dosage of 2 to 3 percent, allows to reduce the isopropanol concentration in alcohol damping systems equipped with normal chrome rollers to approx. 5 volume percent. Its special properties are:

• Prevents ink roller stripping.

• Formation of a stable, thin film of damping solution due to a specific reduction of surface tension.

• Reduction of isopropanol content from 0 to 5% is possible.

• Corrosion inhibited.

• Good protection of the printing plates.

• No pollution of the damping system.

• Less build up of paper fluff on the blanket.

   Despite the good buffer effect of REDUFIX-R, two varieties are necessary in order to permit the adjustment of all types of tap water qualities to the range of between pH 5.0 and 5.3 that is most favorable for printing. In case of doubt as to which product should be used, we are offering the service of a free water analysis.

Special characteristics

• 8325 09 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content under 250 mg/lit.

• 8325 19 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content above 250 mg/lit.

• 8325 29 for re-hardened osmosis water.

• The recommended addition of the REDUFIX 8325 series is 2 to 3%.
