HYDROFIX^® 9350 Series

Damping solution additive for coldset web offset - corrosion inhibited.

HYDROFIX-Z was developed specially for use on modern web offset newspaper printing presses with non-contact damping systems (brush, centrifugal, and spray damping systems) and Turbo damping systems. It helps quickly establish stable ink/water balance and contributes to rapid printing plate runoff. Damping solution delivery to the printing plate can be considerably reduced. Its special properties are:

• Formation of a stable, thin film of damping solution due to a specific reduction of surface tension.

• Very fast printing plate runoff.

• Substantially reduces paper buildup residue on the rubber blanket.

• Corrosion inhibited according to the latest standards.

• No pollution of the damping units.

• Very good plate protection.

  Despite the good buffer effect, two varieties are necessary in order to permit the adjustment of all types of tap water qualities to the range of between pH 5.0 and 5.3 that is most favorable for printing. In case of doubt as to which product should be used, we are offering the service of a free water analysis.

Special characteristics

• 9350 09 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content under 250 mg/lit.

• 9350 19 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content above 250 mg/lit.

• The recommended concentration for use of the HYDROFIX 9350 series is 2%.
