HYDROFIX^® 9310 Series

Damping solution additive for coldset web offset -  corrosion inhibited.

HYDROFIX-XZ was developed for use on modern web offset newspaper presses with non-contact damping units (brush, centrifugal, and spray damping system). It helps quickly establish a stable ink/water equilibrium, and contributes to rapid printing plate runoff. Damping solution delivery to the printing plate can be considerably reduced. Its special properties are:

• Very fast printing plate runoff.

• Optimally reduces surface tension to form a thin, stable film of damping solution.

• Good protection of printing plate.

• Prevents microorganisms from fouling the damping unit.

• Substantially reduces buildup of paper residue on rubber blanket.

• The good properties of the damping additive are not influenced by the corrosion inhibitors.

  Despite the good buffer effect of HYDROFIX-XZ, two varieties are necessary in order to permit the adjustment of all types of tap water qualities to the range of between pH 5.0 and 5.3 that is most favorable for printing. In case of doubt as to which product should be used, we are offering the service of a free water analysis.

Special characteristics

• 9310 09 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content under 250 mg/lit.

• 9310 19 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content above 250 mg/lit.

• The recommended concentration for use of the HYDROFIX 9310 series is 2%.
