HYDROFIX^® 9207 Series

Damping solution additive for web offset - newspaper printing - corrosion inhibited.

HYDROFIX-T has been developed for use on modern web offset newspaper presses with contactless damping systems (T: turbo damping system). A predominant feature of this damping additive is that it cleans the printing plates fast and permits to reduce the amount of damping. Its special properties are:

• Printing plates run very clean.

• Amount of damping water carried can be reduced.

• The pH-value is stabilized between 4.8 and 5.3, favorable printing.

• Excellent microbicidal effect.

• Anticorrosion protection.

• The good properties of the damping additive are not influenced by the corrosion inhibitors.

  Despite the good buffer effect of HYDROFIX-T, two varieties are necessary in order to permit the adjustment of all types of tap water qualities to the range of between pH 5.0 and 5.3 that is most favorable for printing. In case of doubt as to which product should be used, we are offering the service of a free water analysis.

Special characteristics

• 9207 09 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content under 250 mg/lit.

• 9207 19 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content above 250 mg/lit.

• The recommended concentration for use of the HYDROFIX 9207 series is 2%.
