HYDROFIX^® 8093 Series

Damping solution additive for heatset web offset.

HYDROFIX-S is a proven product for heatset web offset. When using HYDROFIX-S, it is possible to reduce the isopropanol content to approx. 10 to 12 volume percent. Its special properties are:

• Formation of a stable, thin film damping solution due to a specific reduction of surface tension.

• Plates run clean fast.

• No pollution of the damping units.

• No stripping of the ink rollers.

  Despite the good buffer effect of HYDROFIX-S, two varieties are necessary in order to permit the adjustment of all types of tap water qualities to the range of between pH 5.0 and 5.3 that is most favorable for printing. In case of doubt as to which product should be used, we are offering the service of a free water analysis.

Special characteristics

• 8093 09 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content under 250 mg/lit.

• 8093 19 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content above 250 mg/lit.

• The recommended concentration for use of the HYDROFIX 8093 series is 2%.
