HYDROFIX® 8077 Series

Damping solution additive for sheet-fed offset
and continuous form printing.

HYDROFIX-B-Plus is a product which combines the properties of a fount solution with those of a fount drier. It is recommended particularly when printing on films or foils or low absorbency substrates in sheet-fed offset or when printing with our HBL-inks if the prints are to be processed in a laser printer. Its special properties are:

  • The pH-value is buffered and stabilized depending on the water quality between 5.0 - 5.3 which is considered most suitable.

  • Improved ink drying on non-absorbent substrates.

  • A specific adjustment of the surface tension of the damping water results in good wetting allowing scarce damping.

  • No pollution of the damping units.

  • Very good plate protection.

The recommended concentration for use is 2 percent. In alcohol damping systems additionally from 5 to max. 8 volume percent isopropanol are required.

Special characteristics

  • 8077 09 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content under 250 mg/lit.

  • 8077 19 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content above 250 mg/lit.

  • The recommended concentration for use of the HYDROFIX 8077 series is 2 - 3%.
