HYDROFIX^® 8061 Series

Damping solution additive for web and sheet-fed offset.

HYDROFIX-S is a proven product for web and sheet-fed offset. Excellent results are being obtained with film damping and contact-free systems. Its special properties are:

• Formation of a stable, thin film damping solution due to a specific reduction of surface tension.

• No pollution of the damping units.

• Plates run clean fast.

  When using HYDROFIX-S, it is possible to reduce the alcohol concentration to 10-12 volume percent. Two varieties are necessary in order to permit the adjustment of all types of tap water qualities to the range of between pH 5.0 and 5.3 that is most favorable for printing. In case of doubt as to which product should be used, we are offering the service of a free water analysis.

Special characteristics

• 8061 09 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content under 250 mg/lit.

• 8061 19 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content above 250 mg/lit.

• The recommended concentration for use of the HYDROFIX 8061 series is 2%.
