HYDROFIX^® 8013 Series

Damping solution additive for sheet-fed offset.

HYDROFIX-B is a proven damping additive since many years. It takes into consideration the increasing use for perfecting presses as well as printing on non-absorbent substrates. Its special properties are:

• In perfecting the paper comes in contact with the damping solution on both sides. Drying of the ink must not be negatively influenced by the increased amount of damping solution.

• The surface tension of the damping solution when adding HYDROFIX-B is adjusted specifically resulting in scant damping.

• Good drying of the inks also when printing on non-adsorbent stocks such as for instance Chromolux Color or Chromolux Metallic.

• The pH-value is adjusted and buffered at 5.0 - 5.3.

• No pollution of the damping units.

• HYDROFIX-B is suitable for all damping systems.

Special characteristics

• 8013 09 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content under 250 mg/lit.

• 8013 19 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content above 250 mg/lit.

• 8013 39 for UV printing on non-absorbent stock such as films, foils, and metals. See also 8032 Series.

• The recommended concentration for use of the HYDROFIX 8013 series is 2 - 3%.
