COMBIFIX^® 8039 Series

Damping solution additive for metallic inks.

COMBIFIX 8039 09 has been developed especially for use with metallic inks. Printability as well as metallic sheen of these inks are being influenced positively. COMBIFIX is intended for all damping systems in sheet-fed offset. Its special properties are:

• Does not impair the metallic effect.

• Specific reduction of the surface tension.

• Very good plate protection.

• No pollution of the damping units.

• Formation of a stable water film.

  By using COMBIFIX the pH-value of the damping solution depending on the water is adjusted and stabilized at a value between 5.8 and 6.2 considered most favorable for metallic inks. In case of doubt as to which product should be used, we are offering the service of a free water analysis.

Special characteristics

• 8039 09 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content under 250 mg/lit.

• 8039 19 for water with a hydrogen carbonate content above 250 mg/lit.

• The recommended concentration for use of the COMBIFIX 8039 series is 4%.
